Shanghai University is a municipal and national "2 1 1 engineering" university and a first-class discipline construction university in Shanghai.
Now Shanghai University has undergone two mergers. 1983, Shanghai merged Fudan University Branch, Shanghai International Studies University Branch, East China Normal University Branch, Shanghai University of Science and Technology Branch, Shanghai Machinery Institute Light Industry Branch and Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts to form Shanghai University (Shanghai University for short). 1994, Shanghai University for Science and Technology (founded in 1960), Shanghai University for Science and Technology (founded in 1958), former Shanghai University (founded in 1983) and Shanghai Institute of Science and Technology (founded in 1959)

Second, Shenzhen University
Shenzhen University was founded in 1983. At the beginning, Peking University aided China and foreign countries, Tsinghua aided electronics and architecture, and China Renmin University aided economics and law. In 2006, the school was granted the right to confer doctoral degrees. Shenzhen University has grown from scratch. This is completely different from Shanghai University's twice integration of resources from other universities.
