The College of Arts and Sciences of Yangtze University (hereinafter referred to as "College") is a full-time general institution of higher learning founded by Yangtze University in 2004, which enrolls students from 26 provinces (cities, districts) in China.
The College is located in Jingzhou City, Hubei Province. It is the capital of Chu during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the hometown of the great patriotic poet Qu Yuan, and a national historical and cultural city. It was once the place where Ma Rong, a famous politician, writer and educator in the Eastern Han Dynasty, set up an account to give lectures, and it was also the place where Zhang, a famous figure in the Ming Dynasty, studied. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, important activities such as studying in the county palace, offering sacrifices to Confucius, having obtained the provincial examination and welcoming the champion were held here.
1936, Hubei fourth area Simple Normal School was born here. Under the leadership of Dong and China's underground party, it has become a red fortress in the western base area of Hunan and Hubei, and is known as "Kangda in Hubei" and "Communist Party of Shaanxi in the South of the Yangtze River". Xuangongtang, Confucian Temple, Lingxingmen and other landmark historical buildings on campus complement each other and tell the success stories of the Chinese nation from generation to generation since ancient times.
Exchange and cooperation:
The college insists on opening up and vigorously promotes international education and school-enterprise cooperation education. We have carried out "2+2", "3+ 1", "4+ 1" and "3+ 1" cooperation with British universities, Korean National University of gangwon, Shi Chong University, Shuming Women's University, Gatorade Kanto University and University of Catalonia in Glasgow.
