The Study of Foreign Literature is the earliest academic journal founded by foreign literary circles in China since the reform and opening up. Originally published in September, 1978, it was changed from quarterly to bimonthly in 2003. More than one hundred issues have been issued so far. The magazine Foreign Literature Research was inscribed by Mr. Mao Dun, the former chairman of the All-China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and a famous writer, and internationally renowned experts and scholars such as Ba Jin, Bian, Ge Baoquan, Ye Shuifu, Zhu Guangqian, Luo Dagang, Jin Kemu, Yang, Ji Xianlin, hillis Miller served as consultants.
