Guangxi Medical University was founded in1934165438+1October 2 1, located in Nanning, the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The school was formerly known as Guangxi Provincial Medical College. Approved by the Ministry of Education, it was renamed Guangxi Medical College in June1949+065438+1October, Guangxi Medical College in April 1953 and Guangxi Medical University in May 1996. Since its establishment, the school has moved seven times, and moved from Guilin to Nanning 1954 in July.
The school is one of the 22 medical colleges established earlier in China, one of the first eight medical colleges in China to recruit foreign students, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students and overseas Chinese students, and one of the first 30 colleges approved by the Ministry of Education to recruit international students majoring in clinical medicine (taught in English). Among them, Nanning-School is located at No.22, Shuangyong Road, Qingxiu District, Nanning, with a total land area of 57 1 mu; Nanning-Wuming Campus is located at No.336, Wuming Section, Wuhua Avenue, Wuming District, Nanning, with a total land area of 1.433 mu.
Yulin Campus is located in Yudong New District High-tech Industrial Park, Yulin City, with a planned total land area of 938 mu. Wuxiang Campus is located at No.23 Fenghuang Road, Liangqing District, Nanning, with a planned land area of about 352 mu, which is currently under construction.
