Hunan University of Chinese Medicine is located in Changsha, a famous historical and cultural city in China and the capital of Hunan Province. It is one of the first universities to recruit doctoral students, international students and students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and has been selected as a national "key discipline with characteristics" to build universities and "excellent doctoral (Chinese medicine) education and training plan". The school is dominated by undergraduate education, with complete levels of higher education, interdisciplinary and diverse forms of running schools. It is a higher institution of traditional Chinese medicine with teaching as the main body and comprehensive development of scientific research, medical care and school-run industries.
This school has a long history. Formerly known as Hunan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (1934), Hunan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (1953) and Hunan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (1960). Became the first institution in China to obtain the qualification of postgraduate education in Chinese medicine, formerly known as Hunan University of Science and Technology (1990). In 2002, it merged with Hunan Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2006, it was renamed Hunan University of Chinese Medicine with the approval of the Ministry of Education. 20 12 entered an enrollment sequence in Hunan province.
