Kismayo (Somali: Kismayo, Arabic:? ), a port city in southern Somalia, the third largest city in China, with geographical coordinates of 0021'29 "s04232' 43" e, located at the mouth of Juba, 528 kilometers southwest of Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia. 1 Kismayo University, established in August 2005. Kismayo has a hot climate all year round, and the main residents are Sabu people. Kismayo is near the mouth of the Indian Ocean and Juba. The city was built in 1872, and the southern region is a commercial center and an important banana market. There are modern slaughterhouses, large meat and fish canneries and small industries such as tanning. 1968 deepwater port expansion project is completed, and seagoing vessels are reliably berthed. Bananas are mainly exported, as well as livestock, leather and canned food. There is a road to Mogadishu and an airport.
