Student ticket is the time when students, graduate students, family residence and schools are not in the same city to attend ordinary colleges, junior colleges (including private colleges with academic qualifications approved by the national education authorities), military academies, primary and secondary schools and technical schools.
With the student ID card stamped with the official seal of the college (primary school students can prove it by circumstances), they can enjoy four half-price hard seat tickets, accelerated tickets and air-conditioned tickets between their families and the college (internship place) every year.
Tickets with the word "Xue" (pictured) sold at ticket outlets are different from regular ticket samples in that they have the word "Xue" on them, and the price is usually more favorable than the normal fare. The discount varies according to the type of train and the type of hard seat/sleeper. The high-speed rail student ticket is 7.5% off the second-class ticket price.
Recently, the Ministry of Railways and the Ministry of Education jointly issued the Measures for the Administration of Student Round-trip Tickets, which made it clear for the first time that the processing time of student tickets was from winter vacation 12 to March 3 1 and summer vacation 1 to September 30. At other times, students will not be able to enjoy half-price concessions.
