Tsinghua University, abbreviated as "Tsinghua", is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). Ranked among the national "Double-Class" A, "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Project", and was selected as "201/Plan".

On June 3rd, 2020, The Times Higher Education Ranking of Asian Universities was released, and Tsinghua University ranked first.

In September, 2020, The Times Higher Education World University Ranking was released, and Tsinghua University ranked 20th.

In June, 20021year, the QS world university ranking was released in 2022, and Tsinghua University ranked 17.

Cooperation between ministries

Tsinghua University has successively established scientific and technological cooperation relations with the State Council ministries and directly affiliated institutions such as National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Environmental Protection, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Water Resources and Ministry of Construction. Among them, Tsinghua University has carried out strategic cooperation with China Meteorological Bureau, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, State Oceanic Administration and other ministries, and achieved certain results and successful experience.

In the process of cooperation with national ministries and commissions, it generally includes joint research on special technologies, establishment of scientific research funds, cooperation in applying for national scientific and technological projects, technical consultation and services, application of high-tech equipment, establishment of scientific research centers, etc.
