Tibet University for Nationalities is located in Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province. The school was founded by the Xizang Autonomous Region Municipal People's Government and the State Ethnic Affairs Commission. Its predecessor was 1957, the "Tibet Public School" established under the instruction of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and 1958 opened in September. 1965 was renamed Tibet university for nationalities, and 20 15 was renamed Tibet university for nationalities.
