Lanzhou University of Arts and Science is an ordinary undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education, 20 13. Its predecessor was Gansu Education College founded by 1950 and Gansu Union University founded by 1985, and it was merged into Gansu Art School on 201/. The school is the first batch of pilot institutions for transformation and development in Gansu Province, the training base for non-genetic inheritors of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, one of the five project institutions of the National "Innovative Experimental Project of Integration of Production and Education in Colleges and Universities" of the Planning and Construction Center of the Ministry of Education, the national "Demonstration Unit of Economical Public Institutions" and the first "Civilized Campus of Gansu Province".

Gansu Teachers College for Nationalities is located in Hezuo City, the capital of Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, at the junction of Gansu, Qinghai and Sichuan provinces. The school was founded in 1984, formerly known as Cooperative Teachers College for Nationalities. In 2009, it was transformed into an undergraduate college. It was founded by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission and the Gansu Provincial People's Government, and it is the only provincial-level normal college for nationalities in Gansu Province.
