Tibet University is the only national "2 1 1 project" key comprehensive university in Tibet. It was formed by the merger of the former Tibet University and the former Tibet Agriculture and Animal Husbandry College in 200 1 year. Before the merger, both schools had a glorious history and tradition. Tibet University, with distinctive school-running characteristics, is one of the key universities in the "Basic Capacity Building Project in the Central and Western Regions" and the "Comprehensive Strength Improvement Project in the Central and Western Regions" 14 established by the People's Government of Xizang Autonomous Region and the Ministry of Education.
