Nanjing University, located in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education and the Central Government of People's Republic of China (PRC). It ranks among the national "double first-class", "985 Project" and "21project" key construction universities, and is selected into "Everest Plan", "Strong Foundation Plan" and "165438". It is the Nine Schools Alliance (C9), China University Presidents Association, Pacific Rim University Alliance, 2 1 Century Academic Alliance, Global University Advanced Research Institute Alliance and International Applied Science and Technology Development Cooperation Network.

As of May 2022, Nanjing University has four campuses: Xianlin, Gulou, Pukou and Suzhou.
