Xiamen Institute of Technology is located in Xiamen, a maritime garden city with "high quality, high value, modernization and internationalization". It is a public undergraduate college in Fujian Province, which implements a management system based on provinces and cities. The school's predecessor is Lujiang Vocational College, which was born on the same day as Xiamen Special Economic Zone in June 198 1.
