School profile: Shanghai University is a comprehensive research university under the jurisdiction of Shanghai. It is a university established by the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. It is a key university under the national "2 1 1 project", a high-level local university in Shanghai and a national "double-class" university.

Shanghai University has a complete range of disciplines, covering philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, medicine, management, art, interdisciplinary and other disciplines. There are now 32 colleges. At present, there are 98 undergraduate majors, 28 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization points, 9 interdisciplinary doctoral programs, 45 first-level discipline master degree authorization points, 1 two disciplines master degree authorization points, 23 master degree categories and 20 post-doctoral research stations.
