The University of Southern California, also translated as USC, is a private research university on the west coast of the United States, located in Los Angeles. Founded by the Board of Supervisors on 1880, it is a member of association of american universities and Pacific Rim University Alliance.

The largest school library is the Edward L. Doheny Memorial Library, Jr. Most of its books are about humanities and social sciences.
