Overview of Lanzhou Petrochemical Vocational and Technical University Lanzhou Petrochemical Vocational and Technical University, formerly known as Lanzhou Petroleum School of the Ministry of Petroleum and Lanzhou Chemical School of the Ministry of Chemical Industry, was founded in 1956. 1999, approved by the Ministry of Education, was transformed into Lanzhou Petrochemical Vocational and Technical College, the first independent higher vocational and technical college in Gansu Province; In 2000, it was placed under the management of Gansu Province; In 2006, it was identified as the first batch of 28 demonstration higher vocational colleges by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance.
