School history:

1936 Guangdong Shantou Fisheries Vocational School was established. 1936 Guangdong Shantou Senior Fisheries Vocational School was renamed Guangdong Senior Fisheries Vocational School. 1939, the Japanese army captured Shantou and the school was closed. 1945 Shantou Senior Fisheries Vocational School in Guangdong Province resumed classes and was renamed Shanwei Senior Fisheries Vocational School in Guangdong Province.

1950 was renamed as Guangdong Advanced Aquatic Technology School. 1952 was renamed as Guangdong Fisheries Technical School. From 65438 to 0953, the marine engineering major of Guangdong Fisheries Technical School was merged into Changjiang Waterway School, and later developed into Wuhan Inland River Transportation College, Wuhan Jiaotong University and Wuhan University of Technology.

From 65438 to 0953, Guangdong Fisheries Technical School, some campuses of Changjiang Waterway School, Fisheries Department of Qinzhou Agricultural School in Guangxi and Fisheries Department of Haikou Advanced Agricultural Technical School merged to form Guangdong Fisheries School. 1956 Guangdong Fisheries School was renamed as Guangdong Fisheries School.
