On the basis of the merger of the second batch and the third batch, Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Shandong and other new college entrance examination provinces and cities merged the second batch and the first batch, leaving only one batch of undergraduates. This is also the general trend of college entrance examination reform, so that all universities can compete fairly on the same platform.

So far, there are no three batches of undergraduate courses in all provinces. In addition, Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Hainan, Hunan, Hubei, Chongqing, Jiangsu, Fujian, Guangdong, Liaoning, Hebei and other new college entrance examination provinces only have undergraduate and specialist courses, and are no longer divided into one batch and two batches.
