University of tasmania's two campuses are located in Hobart, the capital of Tasmania, and Launceston, the northern city.
1. Hobart Campus is located on the coast of Shawan Beach, covering an area of about 100 hectares. It is very close to the center of Hobart, adjacent to the Deventer River. Mount Wellington can be seen in the distance, and part of the university campus is surrounded by natural trees. There are about 9000 students in this campus. The two closest colleges to the city center are university of tasmania Conservatory of Music and Art Center. The clinical practice school of the medical college is also located in the city center, next to the Royal Hobart Hospital.
2. The Launceston Campus is located in Newham, covering an area of 50 hectares, only 10 minutes' drive from downtown Launceston. The campus is located on the bank of the Tamar River, with about 5,000 students. There are modern hardware facilities on campus, and many new buildings have been built in the past five years.
