Our laboratory was formerly the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Key Laboratory of Human Genome. Over the years, a number of innovative achievements have been made in the study of human disease-related genes. In the study of leukemia-related genome, taking acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) as a model, the key role of fusion gene and its protein products caused by chromosome translocation in the pathogenesis of APL was systematically and deeply expounded, and all-trans retinoic acid and arsenic trioxide were successfully used to induce the differentiation and apoptosis of APL. The related loci of essential hypertension and type 2 diabetes were located for the first time in China population. The large-scale gene expression profiles of hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis, a hematopoietic precursor cell with important medical significance, were analyzed for the first time in the world. The above achievements enjoy an important academic position in the world, especially the research achievements of APL genomics and clinical innovative treatment, which are widely adopted by international academic circles.
