For decades, Xiamen University, which is well-known at home and abroad, has been the cradle for countless students to pursue their dreams and realize their ideals. This summer, I was lucky enough to visit Xiamen University with my mother.

Xiamen University is located on the coast of the East China Sea, across the sea from China's treasure island, Taiwan Province Province. It was founded on 192 1 by grandpa Chen Jiageng, a famous patriotic overseas Chinese. It is the first university founded by overseas Chinese in the history of modern education in China, and it is also one of the first three universities in China to carry out postgraduate education. Since its founding 89 years ago, Xiamen University has been adhering to the motto of "self-improvement and Excellence", and has trained more than 200,000 graduate students and undergraduates for the country, making outstanding contributions to the prosperity of China.

Stepping into the campus gate, a pair of wings statues stand in Zhong Meilin Square, which means that every student of Xiamen University can fly to Wan Li from here. Behind the statue is a straight welcome avenue, with straight palm trees evenly planted on both sides, guarding the beautiful campus like a guard, and more like a hostess welcoming every friend who comes here to visit and study. At the end of the avenue is the fashionable and simple Xiamen University Library. The beige wall is covered with light brown marble, which reminds people of a delicious carnoch ice cream. Look at the introduction, this beautiful library has more than 400 thousand books! Bougainvillea blooms in the green grass on both sides of the avenue, dotted with the beautiful campus of Xiamen University. The wind gently caressed the Lotus Lake, sparkling, and sometimes naughty fish jumped out of the water. The lake rippled like pearls hanging at the end of water lilies. Ah! What a beautiful campus, what a charming picture!

Along a fragrant path, we unconsciously came to a group of college students. Look, two female college students are sitting quietly on a stone, studying hard. Grandpa Chen Jiageng is smiling at them, as if to say affectionately, "study hard, children!" " ! The prosperity and construction of China need you! "Strange, Chen Jiageng grandpa how can here? Oh, so this is a group of lifelike statues!

It was dusk when I left Xiamen University. Looking back at the beautiful campus bathed in the sunset glow, I was deeply attracted by its indescribable charm. I think that seven years later, when I came to this beautiful campus with my bags on my back in the afterglow, it should be my goal and direction as a student.
