Jiaotong University (Jilin University) is a secondary college under the Engineering Department of Jilin University. The college has Changchun Automobile Transportation Engineering Research Institute of the Ministry of Communications and Jilin Vehicle Comprehensive Performance Testing Center Station (Vehicle Testing Technology Research and Development Center of Jilin University).
The predecessor of the School of Communications of Jilin University was the first automobile operation and maintenance major in China, which was established in 1956. 1992 in may, with the approval of the former Ministry of machinery industry and the Ministry of communications, the transportation college of Jilin university of technology was established on the basis of automobile application engineering and transportation management engineering. In June, 2000, it was renamed Jiaotong College of Jilin University.
According to the information of official website from October to August, 2002, there are 4 teaching departments and 5 undergraduate majors, including 4 doctoral programs in 2 disciplines, 5 master programs in 2 disciplines, and 1 professional master degree category.
