South China University is a key university. University of South China is a provincial key comprehensive university covering nine disciplines, including philosophy, economics, law, literature, art, mechanics, engineering, medicine and management. Therefore, South China University is a provincial key university. At the time of enrollment, it is also a group of undergraduate enrollment institutions. Extended Information South China University is located in Hengyang City, Hunan Province. It is a comprehensive university jointly established by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the State Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, China National Nuclear Corporation, China Nuclear Industry Construction Group Corporation and Hunan Provincial People's Government. It is supported by the basic capacity building project of universities in the central and western regions of China, and it is a class B university in Hunan Province. South China University is a multi-disciplinary university (founded in 1958) which was merged in May 2000 by Central South Institute of Technology, which was originally affiliated to the Ministry of Nuclear Industry, and Hengyang Medical College, which was originally affiliated to Hunan Province.
