South China University of Technology, formerly known as South China University of Technology, can be traced back to the first-class industrial school in Guangdong Province established in 19 18. On 1952, it was formally established during the adjustment period of national colleges and universities. Relying on the Engineering College of Sun Yat-sen University, Engineering College of South China United University, Engineering Department and Specialty of Engineering College of Lingnan University and Guangdong Institute of Technology.
He moved to Hunan University, Zhonghua University in Wuchang, Wuhan Jiaotong University, Nanchang University and Guangxi University, and was formed by some engineering departments and majors. It is one of the four major engineering institutes in New China. 1960 became a national key university; 1988 was renamed South China University of Technology.
