Nanchang University is a national "double-first-class" discipline plan to build a world-class discipline. The Ministry of Education and Jiangxi Province jointly build a university, which is a key university under the national "2 1 1 project" construction and a high-level university in Jiangxi Province. It is the first batch of demonstration universities in China to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, and the main node unit of China Education and Research Computer Network (CERNET) of the Ministry of Education in Jiangxi. It is the executive director of China Education Exchange Association, the demonstration base for studying in China of the Ministry of Education, the overseas study training base of the overseas study service center of the Ministry of Education, and the national HSK Chinese proficiency online test advanced test center.

Nanchang University was founded in 192 1 Jiangxi Public Medical College, 1940 National Chung Cheng University. From 65438 to 0993, Jiangxi University and Jiangxi University of Science and Technology merged to form Nanchang University, which initiated the reform of the national higher education system.
