The School of Packaging Design and Art of Hunan University of Technology was founded in 1985, featuring design art and packaging specialty. The college has two provincial-level social science research centers, namely, the national key experimental teaching demonstration center-packaging art design experimental teaching center, china national packaging corporation packaging design professional center and product packaging innovation industrial design center, and two Hunan social science research bases, namely, modern packaging design theory and application base and packaging design art and technology research base.

Therefore, the specialty of packaging design is its strong point, which is second to none in China.
