By 2020, the school now has 22 colleges (departments), 65 research institutes and 69 undergraduate majors, covering arts, science, engineering, law, agriculture, medicine, economics, management, teaching, arts and other disciplines 10, and the school has formed various types and levels of undergraduate education, postgraduate education, international education and continuing education. As of 20 18, the school covers an area of10.4 million square meters, and the building area is10/0.98 million square meters. There are more than 30,000 full-time undergraduates, postgraduates and international students, and undergraduates span 3/kloc-0 provinces (cities, districts) in China. There are also nearly 6,000 adult higher education students and full-time self-taught students.
Yantai University, located in Yantai City, Shandong Province, is a key comprehensive university in Shandong Province, a "first-class discipline" construction unit in Shandong Province, a key construction university of a famous school with Shandong characteristics, and a member of CDIO Engineering Education Alliance. It was selected as a coastal university with the shortest estuary and the longest coastline in China. The school has the qualifications of doctor, master and undergraduate, the right to confer corresponding degrees and the qualification of postdoctoral researchers.
At present, there are 22 first-level disciplines authorized by master's degree, and the categories authorized by master's degree are 1 1, covering 50 fields authorized by master's degree. Six majors in the school successfully entered the "Excellence Plan" of the Ministry of Education, and were approved for three national-level excellent courses, bilingual teaching demonstration courses and national-level excellent courses of civil law.
