Ji Bo Medical Hall, founded by Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, is the earliest western medicine school in China, which has laid a solid foundation for the development of hospital teaching. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University has established and developed the Lingnan teaching characteristics of "celebrity feelings, famous teachers' teaching and supervision" on the basis of a century-old teaching tradition, and insisted on integrating the profound historical and cultural precipitation of the hospital, Sun Yat-sen's patriotic feelings and noble medical ethics of predecessors into teaching activities.
The hospital undertakes the management and training of more than 1000 full-time undergraduates, more than 650 full-time postgraduates and more than 500 advanced students every year. It is one of the important components of the first five universities in China that offer eight-year doctoral education in clinical medicine.
