This film is adapted from a true story and takes place in Huntington, a small town in West Virginia, USA. This town has the longest tradition of rugby, and Marshall University, the only university in the town, has the top rugby team in the United States. For decades, the coaches, players, fans and family members of Marshall University football team often get together to cheer and celebrate their "Beasts". Rugby is not only a sport here, but also a part of life. However, on an unfortunate night in 1970, when the Marshall University football team returned to Huntington by plane after attending a game in North Carolina, an air crash occurred, and all 75 passengers, including most of the players, coaches and logistics personnel, were killed in the accident, so the Marshall University football team was almost wiped out.
