Shandong Jiaotong University (English name: Shandong Jiaotong University) is a 1 university jointly established by People's Republic of China (PRC), the Ministry of Transport and the Shandong Provincial People's Government. It is a characteristic university for cultivating applied talents, and it is also the first batch of pilot institutions in the key construction of "Shandong Famous University with Characteristics" and the "Research on the Pilot Reform Strategy of Applied University of Science and Technology" project of the Ministry of Education. Shandong Jiaotong University was founded in 1956, and was transferred to Shandong Province by the Ministry of Communications in 2000. Approved by the Ministry of Education in 2002, it was upgraded to an ordinary undergraduate college.
