1. California Institute of Technology

California Institute of Technology ranked second in California in 2022 and seventh in American universities in 2022.

It is one of the world's leading institutions of higher education in science and engineering. Private teaching and research institute was established in 189 1, and the school is located in Pasadena, northeast of Los Angeles.

California Institute of Technology has always attached importance to science since the early 20th century. Among the alumni and teachers, 72 have won the Nobel Prize and 6 have won the Turing Computer Science Award. California Institute of Technology and NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory are R&D centers, which are responsible for building and operating robotic spacecraft. Many teachers of California Institute of Technology belong to NASA, and several astronauts have also studied in this school.

Located in downtown Los Angeles, this university is a private research university in Los Angeles. Founded in 1880, it is one of the oldest private universities in California. The official mascot of the university is a traveler, an Andalusian white horse. It first appeared in a football match in 196 1, and is called Voyager No.1. Now the horse is Voyager No.7. There are 2 1 colleges in the university, among which Dana and David Dornsifer College of Literature, Art and Science are the oldest and most famous.

The University of Southern California is close to Hollywood. Many films including Forrest Gump, Ghostbusters and Social Network were shot on the campus of the University, which is also known as the "movie holy land". Athletes of the University of Southern California won nearly 300 medals in the Olympic Games, which made the University a success in the Olympic Games. Alumni of USC who won the Oscar include Clint Eastwood, john wayne and Robert Zemeckis.

UCLA ranked fifth in California in 2022 and 27th in American universities in 2022.

The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is another leading university in higher education, and often ranks in the top 20 among many American universities.

The university has more than 125 majors and 80 minor courses. The most popular fields are business economics, biology, psychology, politics, economics and psychobiology. The undergraduate colleges are the College of Literature and Science, the College of Art and Architecture, the College of Drama, Film and Television, the Henry Samueli College of Engineering and Applied Science and the College of Nursing. There are also seven graduate schools and four graduate health schools. The campus of UCLA is located in the west of Los Angeles, near the famous varela Ray and Beverly Hills.
