He was awarded the second National Excellent Textbook Award of General Colleges and Universities by the State Education Commission and the Special Prize of Excellent Textbook of Colleges and Universities of Henan Education Commission. Up to now, more than 6 million copies have been issued, which has a great influence on the legal circles in the country. Professor Chen's research on the judicial tradition of the Song Dynasty has always been in a leading position at home and abroad. At the same time, he presided over the major project of the Key Research Base of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education, "Research on Social Changes and Legal Changes in Tang and Song Dynasties" and the national social science project, "Rationality and Experience in Justice in Song Dynasty", which has innovative value in similar research in China and also has the significance of filling gaps. Professor Wang Mingsuo is an expert who studied and advocated the course of intellectual property law earlier. The edited and published Intellectual Property Law and Bill Law have great influence in domestic academic circles. In the study of China's civil and commercial legislation, some important viewpoints, such as the real integration of civil and commercial affairs, the six-point system of China's civil and commercial code, and other new property rights systems, have made great innovations in academic circles at home and abroad. Law school has always attached importance to academic exchanges and cooperation for many years. Since its establishment, the Institute has invited senior scholars from China Renmin University, China University of Political Science and Law, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Southwest University of Political Science and Law, Institute of Law of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and celebrities in legal practice to give lectures. For example, Jiang Ping, Jiang Wei,,, Sun, Qi Duojun, He Weifang, Qi, Liu Renwen, etc. were invited to give lectures, or professors from Taiwan Province Provincial University gave lectures on Sociology of Law for graduate students in our college, and Professor Zhang Yushao from the Institute of Law of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences gave lectures on Documentary Studies of Legal History and Research on Military Strategic Law, which promoted the postgraduate teaching in our college.
