These two projects are key construction projects initiated by China government to improve the quality of higher education. Among them, "2 1 1 project" is about 100 colleges and universities facing 2 1 century. The "985 Project" is to build a high-level research university with international standards and a world-class university. As a member of these two programs, Xiamen University plays an important role in the field of higher education in China.
