Harbin Medical University, referred to as "Harbin Medical University", located in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, is one of the first universities in the Ministry of Education to pilot seven-year higher medical education.
It is a university established by the Ministry of Education, a high-level university in Heilongjiang Province and a university with advantageous disciplines, a national "Basic Capacity Building Project for Central and Western Universities", a pilot university of the Ministry of Education's "Excellent Doctoral Education Training Plan", a national high-level university graduate program implementation university, and a national "Characteristic Key Discipline Project";

Historical evolution:
The school's predecessor was Harbin Medical College founded by Dr. Lian Dewu in September 1926 and Chinese Workers and Peasants Red Army Health School founded in Ruijin, Jiangxi in October 19365438. 1April, 949, it was formed by the former Harbin Medical University and the first and second branches of the former Xingshan (now Hegang) China Medical University.
In May 2000, Jixi Coal Medical College merged. 20 15,10124 October, Harbin Medical University was officially approved by the Ministry of Education, the National Health and Family Planning Commission and the People's Government of Heilongjiang Province as a university established by ministries.
