On July 9th, 20 19, the State Council Academic Degrees Office issued the Administrative Measures on Authorization and Awarding of Bachelor Degree, which gave art candidates more choices! Clearly stipulate:

1. Art students can choose to minor in other 12 subjects during their study at school. The associate degree is directly indicated in the professional bachelor's degree certificate, and the degree certificate is not issued separately.

For a long time, many universities have offered minor degrees, but generally speaking, the study certificate is issued by the school. For the first time, this document recognized the minor's degree from the national level and directly wrote it into the graduation degree certificate, and the gold content changed qualitatively.

2. Art students can apply for a dual-degree compound talent training program. Undergraduate graduates who meet the degree requirements will be awarded double bachelor's degrees directly, and only one degree certificate will be issued, both of which are included.

The double degree used to be just a study certificate issued by the school, but now it has entered the level recognized by the state. The only drawback is that the two majors offering dual-degree programs must belong to different disciplines and have the right to award doctoral degrees at the same time. Eligible schools are basically comprehensive universities, and it is impossible for the Academy of Fine Arts to implement them.

3. A bachelor's degree may be awarded jointly between the ordinary institutions of higher learning that cooperate in running schools, and the degree certificate shall be issued by the school that recruits undergraduate students, and the joint training unit may indicate it on the certificate. This regulation can also be regarded as the national promotion of the joint school-running model of Shanghai and Wuhan universities.

The most famous one in China is the Wuhan Seven Schools Alliance, which refers to a joint school-running mode among seven national key universities directly under the Ministry of Education in Wuhan, Hubei Province, namely Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Huazhong Normal University, Wuhan University of Technology, China Geo University, Huazhong Agricultural University and Zhongnan University of Economics and Law.

These seven colleges and universities have jointly run schools since 1999. Undergraduates in these seven universities can choose one of the public elective courses or specialized courses and minor in the second degree, which is equivalent to "one admission notice can go to seven prestigious schools".

Wuhan Seven Schools Alliance is a joint school-running model with the longest duration, the largest number of participating universities, the widest scope of cooperation and the largest number of students benefiting from it in Chinese mainland. The promulgation of the "Measures" is undoubtedly the national promotion of the joint school-running model of Wuhan universities.

4. Cancel the second bachelor's degree. As we said in the last article, the second bachelor's degree refers to the degree obtained by re-entering another discipline after graduation.

The academic system of the second bachelor's degree is an extra two years, so it is essentially different from double degree and minor degree. The second degree is recognized by the state, and it is equivalent to a postgraduate degree when you are employed.

The second bachelor's degree is post-undergraduate education, which belongs to the national unified enrollment plan. Refers to those who have completed the undergraduate professional courses in one discipline, have been allowed to graduate and obtain a bachelor's degree, and then study for an undergraduate major in another discipline, and have completed all the requirements stipulated in the teaching plan, and have been awarded the second bachelor's degree.

Undergraduate students studying for the second bachelor's degree must first attend the individual enrollment in the target institution, and the enrollment must be reviewed by the Ministry of Education.

Second, what is a double degree?

Double degree, usually refers to minor double bachelor's degree. It means that on the basis of the first bachelor's degree, you can minor in another subject full-time, and you can get another minor certificate (minor diploma) issued by colleges and universities and a double bachelor's degree certificate (minor diploma) issued by colleges and universities.

Different from the second bachelor's degree, the minor of the second degree is to study the minor of this major and another professional degree course at the same time, and obtain the minor bachelor's degree of another subject at the same time after meeting the specified requirements. Those who fail to apply for a bachelor's degree can obtain a minor certificate according to the corresponding conditions.

It is understood that the "point-to-point stop" training system of double-degree minor determines that it can't be compared with the first major at all, and it can't be compared with the postgraduate entrance examination in terms of gold content.

The time of double-degree minor is basically concentrated in the weekends of sophomore and junior, and the courses are all professional basic theory courses, so students are basically out of touch with professional core courses.

Which universities and art majors enroll students with a second bachelor's degree?

Recently, the website of the Ministry of Education announced the record results of the second bachelor's degree in ordinary colleges and universities in 2020. According to the list, 33 majors in national art colleges can enroll students with second bachelor's degree, as follows:
