Inner Mongolia University for Nationalities is located in Tongliao City in the east of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. 1958 was formed by the merger of the former Inner Mongolia Normal University for Nationalities, Inner Mongolia Mongolian Medical College and Zhelimu Animal Husbandry College, and was established as a key university in the autonomous region in 2006. In 2009, the State Ethnic Affairs Commission and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region signed an agreement to set up, becoming the second central and local organization in Inner Mongolia, which is a Eurasian organization.
20 10 Inner Mongolia University for Nationalities was established as the construction unit of the doctoral degree awarding project. Three key disciplines have been established as national "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" support projects. In 20 12, it was approved as the first batch of national special-needs personnel training project construction units, and was awarded the right to confer doctor's degree in Mongolian medicine, and built the first doctor's degree point in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, becoming the only school in the world that can independently confer doctor's degree in Mongolian medicine. Established by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, it is the only comprehensive university for nationalities in the autonomous region.
Inner Mongolia University for Nationalities has two campuses, namely Huolinhe Campus, located at No.536 Huolinhe Street West, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and Xilamulun Campus, located at No.996 Xilamulun Street, Horqin District, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
Inner Mongolia University for Nationalities is a scholarship training institution for international students of China government, and has established friendly and cooperative relations with 32 foreign universities and institutions such as Buryat State University, Mongolian National Medical University, Irish National Cork University, Weber State University, Shang Yue Education University, Jiangyuan University and Eurasian Pacific University Union.
