At present, the total collection is 6.5438+0.87 million, including 6.5438+0.3 million Chinese books, 380,000 foreign books, 250,000 bound periodicals, 52 18 Chinese periodicals, 4,065,438 foreign periodicals and 3,300 donated documents. It has a building area of 23000m2, 23 reading rooms and 2,200 reading seats, and employs 1 16 people. Huiwen library automation management system is a completely networked system, which not only realizes the real cross-campus reader service, but also realizes the resource sharing through the Internet.

Collecting western sci-tech periodicals is a major feature of Taiyuan University of Technology Library. The number and continuity of collections rank first in the province and also among the best in universities across the country. Our library is also the only one in the province with complete collections of world-famous retrieval publications such as SCI, EI, ISTP and CA.

Since 1997, large-scale Chinese and foreign language data resources have been gradually constructed. At present, there are 18 kinds of databases used on the Internet, which are also mirror sites of CALIS member databases and full-text databases of China academic journals. The rich collection resources provide a strong guarantee for the teaching and scientific research of Taiyuan University of Technology, and also contribute to the construction of energy and heavy chemical industry base and economic construction in Shanxi Province.
