1. Inner Mongolia University of Technology is located in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Its predecessor was Suiyuan Senior Industrial School, which was founded in 195 1. 1958, with the support of Tsinghua University and others, Inner Mongolia Institute of Technology was established. It used to belong to the Ministry of Machinery Industry and the Ministry of Agricultural Machinery. 1983 was placed in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and 1993 was renamed Inner Mongolia University of Technology. The school currently has three campuses: Xincheng Campus, Jinchuan Campus and Zhungeer Campus, covering an area of 3,227 mu.

After 66 years of development, the school has been built into a multidisciplinary university with distinctive features, focusing on engineering, science, literature, economics, management, law, teaching and arts, with a complete talent training system for doctors, masters and undergraduates. Now there are 25 institutes (departments and centers) and 62 research institutes (institutes); Postdoctoral mobile stations 1 unit, 3 first-level disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees, and two disciplines (excluding first-level disciplines) 1 unit authorized by doctoral degrees; Master's degree is granted to 19 first-class disciplines, two disciplines 10 master's degree (excluding the coverage of first-class disciplines) and six professional degree granting categories, including master of engineering (14 authorized fields), master of business administration (MBA), master of engineering management (MEM), master of architecture, master of social work and master of translation. There are 69 undergraduate majors, and they are eligible to recommend outstanding undergraduates to study for master's degrees without examination. The school has more than 22,000 full-time undergraduates and more than 4,400 doctoral and master students.

Since the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan", it has undertaken more than 600 scientific research projects 1600, including the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Social Science Foundation, the National "863" Plan and the National Science and Technology Support Plan, and won 50 scientific and technological awards at or above the provincial and ministerial level, including 2 second prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and 1 and 2 second prizes of the Inner Mongolia Science and Technology Progress Award 19.
