Tianjin University of Commerce was founded in 1980, which belongs to the former Ministry of Commerce. The original school name was Tianjin University of Commerce, and 1998 was managed by Tianjin. In 2007, it was renamed Tianjin University of Commerce. The school aims to build a high-level university with distinctive business characteristics, meeting social needs and serving economic and social development.
The school has more than 22,000 students, including 14 colleges, including mechanical engineering college, economics college, management college, accounting college, biotechnology and food science college, law school, public administration college, Marxism college, foreign language college, science college, information engineering college, international education cooperation college, art college, higher vocational and continuing education college, foreign language teaching department, basic course teaching department and university.
At present, there are 54 undergraduate majors (directions) and 68 master's programs, including 9 master's programs in first-class disciplines and 10 master's programs in professional degrees. The school has the right to recommend outstanding undergraduate graduates to study for postgraduate qualifications without examination, as well as the right to enroll graduates from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and apply for a master's degree.
