Are there any delicious things and places worth visiting in Suzhou?
It is no exaggeration to compare Suzhou to a paradise on earth. Suzhou is a land of plenty and abundant products.

As for the local specialties, hairy crabs, Taihu Sanbai, Shuibaxian and Dongshan loquat are all Suzhou delicacies. However, these foods are seasonal. If you miss them, you can only regret missing them.

Suzhou also has many snacks. "Little Chestnut King" fried chestnuts with sugar, sweet and soft, are worth a taste. Huang Tianyuan's cakes are also a major feature, and Suzhou locals often buy them back to eat. Both families have stores in Guanqian Street, and you can often see long queues at the door of the store.

Fried buns are also a Soviet-style snack that should not be missed. I fell in love with fried dumplings when I first arrived in Suzhou, especially when traveling abroad. After eating fried buns from other places, I found that fried buns in Suzhou were really delicious. The skin is brown and crisp, and a bite is sweet and spicy gravy.

Famous fried shops include "dumb fried" and "big ear fried". Personally, I prefer the former. If you have time, try a few more. It won't disappoint.

Besides local products and special snacks, Subang cuisine is also recommended. The classic dishes are sweet and sour mandarin fish, shredded eel with sesame oil, fried shrimp with chicken head rice, and salty. These dishes can be eaten in famous hotels in Suzhou, such as Deyuelou and Songhelou, but I always feel that most of them are hosted by local people. The "New Plum Blossom" in New Subang Restaurant is quite good, with high cost performance and rich dishes.

As for the place worth going, of course, the garden is the first. Suzhou gardens are the best in the world. Humble Administrator's Garden is the largest garden, and it takes half a day to stroll slowly. Lion Forest is not far away, so you can visit two gardens together. There is also Suzhou Museum nearby, which is my favorite place to visit for free.

Subo's architecture is very distinctive, combining modern architectural art with classical garden charm. This is the last work of contemporary architect Bei Luming.

Finally, I'd like to recommend a small garden art shop. It is a place that the tourism team will never go, hiding in the depths of the alley. Usually, most local people drink tea and relax in it. There is a teahouse transformed by a waterside pavilion in the garden, which is the most beautiful teahouse in all gardens. Have a cup of tea 15 yuan and feel the cool breeze in Xu Lai.
