Founded in 1958, Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is one of the earlier institutions of higher learning in China. Its predecessor was 1955, the Henan Provincial School of Traditional Chinese Medicine founded in Kaifeng. The school is located in Zhengzhou, the provincial capital, with five campuses: Longzihu Campus, Dongming Road Campus, Renmin Road Campus, Dongfeng Road Campus and Wenhua Road Campus, covering an area of 1.0435 million square meters. The building area is 662,000 square meters, and the total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 497 million yuan. The library has a collection of 1.62 million volumes, 3,383 Chinese and foreign periodicals and 3 Chinese and foreign databases1/kloc-0. Traditional Chinese medicine thread-bound books are particularly rich in ancient books, and their books are among the best in Chinese medicine schools. It is a university jointly established by the People's Government of Henan Province and state administration of traditional chinese medicine, a national midwest higher education revitalization plan university, a China government scholarship student training university of the Ministry of Education, a "5+3" integrated enrollment college for Chinese medicine majors of the Ministry of Education, a national international cooperation base for Chinese medicine, a characteristic backbone university in Henan Province, a "double-first-class" university established in Henan Province, a doctoral degree authorized unit, and a national May 1 labor reward unit. It is the leader and center of traditional Chinese medicine personnel training, scientific research, social service, cultural inheritance and innovation, and international exchanges and cooperation in Henan Province.
