Professor Sun Dongbai 1982 obtained a bachelor's degree in inorganic chemical engineering from the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Hunan University, and then worked in Wuhan Institute of Material Protection to study the corrosion and protection of metal materials. Later, he received a doctor's degree in engineering from the Department of Surface Science and Corrosion Engineering, University of Science and Technology Beijing on 1992. After graduation, he stayed in school to teach, and 1999 became a professor at the School of Materials. Mainly engaged in material corrosion and protection, surface technology and other aspects of research work. Participated in and completed more than 20 national natural science foundation projects, national eighth five-year plan key projects, basic research projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Sinopec/PetroChina projects, and enterprise cooperation projects; He has undertaken more than one scientific research project 10, such as general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, tenth five-year high-tech projects, 863, major projects of Beijing Science and Technology Commission, and pre-research projects of the conference. At present, Professor Sun Dongbai is a professor and doctoral supervisor of the National Center for Materials Service Safety Science (NCMS), and also serves as the chief commander of the "Research and Evaluation Device for Service Safety of Major Engineering Materials" (MASF) project. At the same time, Professor Sun Dongbai is also the vice president of University of Science and Technology Beijing.
