Northwest A&F university (Northwesta &；; R&F University is a comprehensive national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, and it is a key construction university of "Double First Class", "985 Project" and "21/project". The school is located in Yangling City, Shaanxi Province, with Li Xingwang, Party Secretary, and Wu Pute, President. The school motto is "honesty and courage".

As of August, 20021year, the school covers an area of 5603 1.6 mu, the campus covers an area of 5757.67 mu, and there are 4582 faculty members. As of March 2022, the school has a graduate school and 28 colleges (departments and institutes).

Northwest Agricultural University, formerly known as the National Northwest Agricultural and Forestry College, was founded in 1934. 1938 merged with Agricultural College of National Northwest United University and Animal Husbandry Department of Agricultural College of Henan University to form National Northwest Agricultural College; After liberation, it was renamed Northwest Agricultural College. 1985 was renamed Northwest Agricultural University with the approval of the former Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries. 1999 merged into Northwest A&F University in September.
