1, Nanning Normal University
Nanning Normal University, located in Nanning City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, was selected as the national basic capacity-building project for universities in the central and western regions (Phase II). It is a national demonstration university for deepening the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, a pilot university of the "Hundred Schools Project" of the Ministry of Education, and a counterpart supporting institution of Southwest University.
The school was formerly known as Guangxi Teachers College, and 1953 was founded in Guilin. In February of the same year, it was renamed Guangxi Teachers College. 1March, 955, moved from Guilin to Nanning. July 1960 was renamed Nanning Normal University. In September of the same year, it was merged into Guangxi Institute for Nationalities. In September, 196 1, Guangxi Normal University resumed classes. July 1966, renamed Guangxi Institute of Education.
2. Guangxi University for Nationalities
Guangxi University for Nationalities (Guangxi University for Nationalities? [38]), referred to as "Guangxi Minda", is located in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is a university jointly established by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is the first batch of key universities for basic capacity building in the central and western regions of China and the first-class discipline construction university in Guangxi.
This school is a national non-common undergraduate talent base for foreign languages. The National 863 Plan and 973 Plan undertake universities, China-ASEAN legal training base, China-ASEAN tourism talent education and training base, ASEAN national Chinese talent training center, overseas Chinese teachers' training programs in China and Confucius Institute scholarship receiving institutions.
3. Guangxi Medical University
Guangxi Medical University is located in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and is jointly established by the National Health and Wellness Commission and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is a first-class university in Guangxi, and it has been selected into the national "11plan", "Basic Capacity Building Project of Central and Western Universities" and "Excellent Doctor Education Training Plan".
The school has also been selected as a national professional construction site, a national university with typical experience in graduate employment and a national university with typical experience in innovation and entrepreneurship. It is one of the 22 medical colleges established earlier in China and one of the first 30 colleges approved by the Ministry of Education to recruit international students majoring in clinical medicine (all-English teaching).
