I don't know what your major is, but I suggest that if you want to study in San Francisco, you seem to have two choices about your future ambitions:
1) Go to City College of San Francisco, finish the general education credits for the first two years, then enroll in the 4-year university you want to transfer to, and transfer credits at City College. In this way, tuition fees are saved, and the chances of San Francisco Community College transferring to a good university are also high. Many of my former China students can transfer to UC Berkeley, UCLA or other better schools.
2) Go directly to San Francisco State University, which is located near the sunset zone in San Francisco. The environment is good, but it is foggy most of the year. Although this school is not a prestigious school, it is at least one of the better branches of California State University, and some majors are still famous, such as business and nursing. Engineering, such as electrical engineering, is completely useless. Don't study in this school. If you study engineering, the graduates of California State University, such as San Jose State University or better Cal Poly -San Luis Obispo, have a high employment rate in Silicon Valley after graduation.
I hope I can help you and wish you success in your studies.
