Yang Chao, professor, doctoral supervisor of aircraft design, male, Han nationality, 1966. 1989 graduated from the Department of Aircraft Design and Applied Mechanics of Beihang University, 1996 obtained a master's degree in aerodynamics from Beijing Aerodynamics Research Institute (70 1 Institute), and 1996 received a doctor's degree in flight mechanics from Beihang University. 200 1 Appointed as a professor and deputy director of the Fifth Department of Beihang University. He is currently the dean of the School of Aeronautical Science and Engineering and the director of the Aeroelasticity Research Office. He is also the deputy director of Aeroelasticity Professional Committee of China Aerodynamics Society, the editorial board of Engineering Mechanics magazine, the member of General and Aerodynamics Professional Group of Aircraft General and Structure Standardization Committee of Science, Technology and Industry Committee for National Defense, and the director of MSC Software Aeroelasticity and Flight Load Technical Service Center in the United States. In 2004, he was selected into the "New Century Excellent Talents Support Program" of the Ministry of Education. In 2004, "Introduction to Aerospace" was rated as a national excellent course and a Beijing excellent course.
The main research fields are aeroelasticity, flight mechanics and overall design in the field of aircraft design. The research objects include fixed-wing aircraft, missiles, helicopters and micro aircraft. He has presided over more than 20 scientific research projects, including pre-research, natural science foundation and nearly 20 types of scientific research projects. He has many years of theory and practice in flutter, flight load, aerodynamic servo elasticity, active aeroelastic wing and helicopter nonlinear flight dynamics, and has published more than 40 important journal papers.
At present, the main research directions are:
1) aircraft digital aeroelastic design, active aeroelastic wing design and test technology.
2) Flutter, flight load and gust load analysis and control technology.
3) Aeroelastic optimization design and multidisciplinary optimization design technology.
4) Nonlinear flight dynamics and control of helicopter.
5) Overall comprehensive design and comprehensive test of aircraft and micro aircraft.
The main achievements in recent years are:
1) "application of pneumatic servo elastic analysis technology in aircraft design" won the second prize of scientific and technological progress of the commission of science, technology and industry for national defense in 2000 (ranking 1).
2) "Modern Military Aircraft Flight Load Comprehensive Analysis Technology and Its Application" won the third prize of Scientific and Technological Progress of the Science, Technology and Industry Committee for National Defense in 2005 (ranked third).
