"I feel that it has become a luxury to settle down and study after graduating from high school." In fact, we can ask ourselves, did we really settle down to study in high school? Isn't it utilitarian to chew over a dozen textbooks every day and fight for the college entrance examination? Let's take history for example. If you are familiar with several more or less untrue textbooks because of preparing for the exam, it is called static reading, which is too simplistic and vulgar.
To really settle down and study, the book you read is very important first. At least, you read a history book, not a textbook. Secondly, just reading them is not enough. It needs deep reflection and "stupid thinking". Only after a series of "stupid thoughts" can we really say "calm down and study"
Then, many of us will still "think it is a luxury to sit down and read books after graduating from high school", because after going to college, various activities have increased, instead of spending all day in the "study" and reading words in high school. On the surface, we have less time to study in college, giving people the illusion that we can't sit down and study. In fact, there is no fundamental difference between the two, and there is no core change, just the number of books we skimmed in high school.
"Quiet reading" is an extremely extravagant thing at any time in life, because "quiet reading" itself is extremely extravagant.
