Among them, engineering has added 14 major, accounting for the highest proportion, followed by art and agriculture. * * * 38 colleges and universities passed the examination and approval of new majors. Among them, Beijing Jiaotong University added intelligent transportation engineering specialty, Harbin Engineering University added intelligent marine technology specialty, and Northwest A&F University added intelligent forestry and intelligent water conservancy specialty, all of which were opened for the first time in universities across the country.
The establishment of these undergraduate majors is based on the demand for talent training in the new national format, new industries and new forms of social development. As far as our school is concerned, these are emerging majors that are integrated with modern agriculture, information technology and management, and they are the unique advantages of our agricultural and forestry disciplines in cultivating talents who are in short supply in future agricultural and economic and social development.
In order to better serve the national strategy and help the transformation and development of the energy and power industry, China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing), China Youshi University (Beijing) and other universities have added carbon storage engineering and science majors, and North China Electric Power University has added the first hydrogen energy science and engineering major in China. In addition, many colleges and universities have added some majors corresponding to the emerging occupations generated by economic and social development. For example, Inner Mongolia University has added a charity management major.
