Beijing Normal University has vigorously implemented the internationalization strategy, signed cooperation agreements with more than 200 universities and research institutions in 34 countries and regions, cooperated with more than 20 universities such as the United States, Britain, Japan, South Korea and Canada in international student exchange programs, strived to explore the postgraduate training mode under the joint guidance of domestic and foreign tutors, and actively promoted the "National Project of Building a High-level University". At the same time, a large number of foreign graduate students and graduate students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan have been recruited, which has broadened the broad channels for international cooperation and foreign exchanges. In recent years, more than 400 overseas scholars come to our school to give lectures or engage in research every year, and nearly 1,000 teachers go abroad to participate in international conferences and cooperative research. In 2007, the country began to build a high-level university to send international students. Every year, the school sends more than 100 doctoral students to foreign first-class universities and majors to learn from first-class tutors and cultivate top-notch innovative talents. The school has awarded or hired more than 100 overseas people such as Nobel Prize winners and famous experts as honorary professors or visiting professors of Beijing Normal University. Jointly organize academic and non-academic education projects with educational institutions in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Cooperate with Manchester University, Oklahoma State University, San Francisco State University, Shepard University and Dawson University to establish Confucius Institute. Teaching Chinese as a foreign language is at the forefront of universities in China. Long-term international students come from 67 countries and regions, of which 57% are studying for degrees, and the scale of international students ranks among the top universities in China.
