brief introduction

The History Museum of Shanghai Jiaotong University is located on the second and third floors of the old library. This museum has three exhibition halls. The first exhibition hall spans from the establishment of Nanyang Public School to the liberation of Shanghai, and is divided into three periods: the establishment of Nanyang Public School, the establishment of modern engineering university and the establishment of Jiaotong University combining science and technology with management. The second exhibition hall spans from Shanghai to the present. The third exhibition hall is the performance exhibition of academicians of Shanghai Jiaotong University. The photos and documents of nearly 200 academicians of China Academy of Sciences and China Academy of Engineering who are studying or teaching in Jiaotong University are exhibited. The third exhibition room is also equipped with Professor Lin Tongyan's exhibition room, which displays more than 300 photos, works, papers, pictures and materials of Lin Tongyan, a famous alumnus of Jiaotong University, an internationally renowned structural engineer, educator and Chinese-American scholar.
